As your child prepares for the next stage in their education, either at Torwood Independent Preparatory School or other independent and state schools, here at Torwood Lodge Nursery we ensure that each child develops the right social and core skills.
As they prepare for finishing pre-school, children develop valuable social skills — simple manners and thought for others so that they can continue to grow in to confident and capable school children.
Each child enjoys a varied day with involvement in both the indoor activities that our 0-3 babies and toddlers enjoy alongside other specialist activities designed specifically for children aged between 3–5 years.
Our team of specialist teachers come in once a week to provide our 3–5 year olds with a range of activities. These include P.E., French, Drama and Dance. If you would like further information about when each takes place then please contact us, we will be happy to help with your enquiry.
With a deeper sense of self, and an ever-deepening appreciation of the world around them, our children at Torwood Lodge Nursery are superbly prepared for Reception Classes and onwards in to Key Stage 1 education.
Forest school sessions last for approximately 2 hours, these take place nearby at Leigh Woods. At Forest School children learn to assess and manage risks and develop life long learning skills. Forest School has physical, social and health benefits.
